Abbas Khamiss Profile

Abbas Khamiss was born in Baghdad, Iraq in 1962 and moved to Italy in 1980. He graduated in architecture (1996) from Rome University (La Sapienza) achieving the maximum mark of 110/110 (supervisor Professor "Paolo Portoghesi". Since 2000, he became a registered architect at the Board of architects in Rome and been qualified as Safety Inspector.

Abbas live and work in Rome, where his professional activities cover a range of projects: residential, commercial and public with a special focusing on Interior Design. His interest in details and production processes related to his professional work has led to develop in him a special skill in the production of detailed drawings and in site supervision, which is the result of a synergetic and complementary relationship with the industries

Cooperation with leading international design companies such as Design2000, Inea-srl and ExclusivaDesign have made it possible to realize some very important architectural works around the world.

Abbas cultural background make it possible to him to deal with clients from different countries with various social rank. He worked and traveled in United Arab Emirate, France, Russia, Saudi Arabia and China.

Presently, Abbas is leading a group of professionals strongly focused on a new technology in both design representation and architectural production.

Abbas Khamiss Architects is an architecture practice based in Rome. since its foundation in 1996 it has been involved in a wide range of projects worldwide of new constructions, renovation and Interior design. The team, composed of authentic professionals with different skills and specialization, are continually looking for new solutions, new technology and new materials.

In the last decade the office has been engaged mostly in housing design (mainly Villas) delivering a key turn project, from the concept design to the execution. To do this we selected a specific Italian companies specialized in custom-made furniture and art decorations ensuring a good quality and a competitive prices.
